We Welcome All Your Questions
Q: What should I expect on my first appointment?
On your first visit, you will undergo a personalized, comprehensive assessment of your movement and joint capacity to find asymmetries, limits to the range of motion, and other contributing factors to your condition. Following the exam, initial treatment will be performed based on your assessment results.
Typically, treatment consists of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue treatment, and corrective exercises. You will receive an active care plan including specific corrective exercises to allow you to support your treatment after you leave the office.
Q: How long will treatment take?
Your first appointment, which includes the exam and initial treatment, should take 45 to 60 minutes. Follow-up sessions usually require only 15 to 25 minutes depending on what kind of treatment we are performing.
Q: How many visits it will take to resolve my condition?
Treatment will vary depending on many factors including the severity of your condition, your age, overall health, and how long the problem has persisted. We usually recommend a treatment plan of approximately 5-6 treatments.
In this amount of time, patients usually notice significant improvement. Based on the outcome of the initial course of treatment, we will set long term goals and prepare you to manage your condition along with future maintenance treatments.
Q: Do you take my insurance?
Yes. We take most insurance carriers and can easily verify your benefits prior to your first visit. We also offer affordable cash plans for those without coverage. If we do not take your insurance, but you have chiropractic coverage, we can provide you with a super-bill that you can submit to your insurance company who will reimburse you directly. Health Savings Plans are also a great option where you can use pre-tax dollars for your care.
Q: What is a chiropractic adjustment?
A chiropractic adjustment is a specific and controlled force applied to a portion of the body to restore normal motion and nerve flow to an area that is fixed, blocked, or stuck. There are different types of techniques we use based on each patient’s condition.
Q: Will treatment hurt?
Typically, not at all. Chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue therapy are painless and therapeutic. Patients will comment and say they feel relief. Imagine removing a kink in a garden hose where it does not take much effort to restore its function.
Occasionally, when muscle soreness and inflammation are present, there may be some short-lasting discomfort much like feeling sore after a workout at the gym.
Q: How should I prepare myself when coming in for my appointment?
Please make sure to wear comfortable and non-restrictive clothing for each visit.Click here to learn more about health and posture-related conditions.
